Well I guess the subject line just about covers it. I am curious to know if there is a way to simultaniously record both the audio from the computer and the microphone within wavepad? Using the microphone under audio input produces just my voice in the mike. choosing stereo mix from that same dialog box will mute the microphone and record the pc's audio output at a ridiculously high volume. This isn't an urgent need; I was just considering making a podcast demonstrating some audio games and was curious if this type of recording can be done with wavepad. thanks for any input.

Not sure on that one but on BlindCoolTech someone did a podcast recently about the Podcasting kit. It's a USB audio interface, mixer mike and all the necessary cables. Also comes with some software that you can but not must use like Audasity, podnover, juice etc. Over here it costs like 80 pounds, not sure how much that is in USD sorry. lol not very helpful I know, but the podcast, if I remember rightly, said it's available from www.iwantoneofthose.com. That's i want one of those as one word.
